Welcome back! In part 1, we digged into Joy & Sadness. Today marks part 2, where we explore Fear & Confidence.

Think back to your first job interview – the nerves, the fear of how to answer unpredictable questions, and the possibility of rejection. It’s a mix of emotions, yet there’s also confidence stemming from your preparation. This blend of fear and confidence lingers beyond the interview room; it persists until you receive the email with a subject line of either ‘congratulations’ or ‘sorry to inform you’.
Fear empowers us to step out of or expand our comfort zone. On the other hand, confidence comes from the hours you spend preparing – researching, practicing, and rehearsing. Underneath these coexisting feelings lies courage, guiding us through uncertainty, even in the face of possible rejection. Knowing that we can recover from any disappointment or breakdown, and having faith in ourselves, is true self-assurance.
The journey of experiencing fear and confidence also appears in your 1st presentation or even your 1st date, it all mirrors life’s uncertainties. Exploring beneath the surface of fear and confidence helps us understand ourselves better, whether they’re in the form of acceptance or rejection, as they shape the resilient, confident person you’re becoming.
And this is the vision I hold on your behalf.
